Back to Summer

Okay, so by now anyone that ever checks in the "Raspberry Room" realizes I'm not exactly the dedicated blogger . . . . . yet. I hope to eventually post regularly (at least once a week). That being said, I have a few projects from the summer. The first is a group of retirement dinner invitations that had a beach theme.  This was fun.

Images are from Flourishes "Beach Life" and Stampin Up's "Do the Hula".  The little flip flops are an old punch I found in my stash and the coloring is done with Copic markers ( a medium I have yet to master).

Now on to my have a great summer cards for my grands. We all know kids love to receive mail, so I try to send one to my grandson and granddaughter at the beginning of each season. These were there "Happy Summer" cards this year. Both were created with images from Flourishes "Sweet Days of Summer" and can be found here; http://shop.flourishes.org/category_s/55.htm . The nature of these silhouette images lend to an easy quick card. A little background texture and lots of sponging, and done. The metal tag rims were recolored with Copic markers.

That's it for now, hope to be back soon with some fall projects. Til then . . .

No Lie FRUIT FEST ~

Okay so the other day I finally got back into the blog and promised to return in the evening with some new projects.  I did not lie.  :(   I couldn't get back in again.  So come to find out I had "multiple" Google accounts and I was trying to sign in under the wrong one. Duh . . . . . .

So, that being said, here I am with a set of fruit themed cards I made back in March as a birthday gift for my good friend. I think she liked 'em

All main images and most of the sentiments are from Flourishes.  All cardstock is from Stampin' Up. I used an assortment of punches and dies from Martha Stewart, Spellbinders and Stampin' Up.  All images were fun to color with Copic markers. Thanks for stopping in.
Til next time, Live Well, Laugh Often & Love Much,  Jean ~

Anyone Out There???

So sorry for my disappearing act. So I finally decide to get back into blogging my projects and  I find my blog is gone (or so it seemed). So after a month of trying, all of a sudden I can get back in. Okay I won't question who, what or where it was, but I'm here now. I may not have been blogging, BUT, I have been a card making fool. I have lots to share and will be back late tonight to start posting some of what I've been up to.
If you're still checking in, thank you. Lots to be posted.

Tulip Quartet

Hello my artsy friends, and welcome back to My Raspberry Room. If this is your first visit, I hope you enjoy my creations and will check in again soon. If you've visited before, thanks for coming back.
Today I have four cards all basically the same in different colors. Which is your fave?
The main image is from Flourishes "April Showers" set, all colored up with Copics. Three of the four are stamped on the Spellbinder's "scalloped circles" then dry embossed with SU's  "designer frames" folder. The fourth is stamped on Spellbinder's "lacey circles". Cardstock and sentiments are all from SU. Ribbon is all from my stash (sorry I don't know the brands). The tiny butterflies are from a retired SU set called "Beyond the Basics" And last but not least the "Framed Tulips" embossing folder and self adhesive pearls are from SU. Don't they just add a nice touch to this cute little bucket of tulips?
Well it's time to decide, more ink or catch some Zzzzz's. I think Zzzz's win tonight.
Thanks for stopping by. Til next time....

Daffodil on Daffodil

Hello blog friends. Today I have another Easter/spring card. The lovely daffodil image is from Flourishe's "Signs of Spring" set. The main image was stamped and masked to add the Flourishe's "Clouds" background. It's difficult to see in the pic (my photography skills are not the best), but the center of the flower is stamped a 2nd time and added to a lightweight chipboard. Makes it "pop" off the card. The beautiful scrolled sentiment is from Stampin' Up's Easter Blossoms set. This was all stamped and colored with Prisma Pencils and Gamsol on whisper white CS, then adhered to SU's daffodil delight CS (how appropriate is that?) The border punch is MS "arch lattice". Finishing touch, SU's self adhesive pearls.
As always, thanks for stopping by.

Hello Hyacinths

Hello all. I hope you're a having wonderful day. Well now that Valentine's Day is over, and February is done (not my favorite month). How about an Easter card or two? Let's bring on spring. I love this image from Flourishes set called "Hello Hyacinth" and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up's "Delightful Dozen" set. Both the card base and the stamped image were cut with Spellbinders "labels eight". Both cards were colored with Copic markers.
Thanks for stopping by. Til next time.........

It's Still February

Okay it is still February for the next several hours, so I thought I'd do a quick post to show you the Valentine I made for DH. I loved using the Spellbinders heart circle dies. The dry embossing as well as the stamped image are both from Stampin' Up. Card size is 5.25 x 5.25.
Thanks for stopping by, until next time.......

Blogger NEWBIE!

Well folks, here I am in blog world. Always said I'd never have a blog even though I enjoy so many of my friend's crafty blogs. BUT, thanks to my friend Curt (you must visit his blog, you won't be disappointed). I'm hoping I can figure out how to add his fantastic blog in my side bar. Not only does Curt create amazing cards, you can also enjoy his awesome photography skills and his TWO giant schnauzers (hi Shotsy, hi Gunther).

Well I'll try not to get all long-winded on this first post, but please be patient while I figure out the ins and outs of this blogging stuff. After all the purpose of the blog is to share my creations and be open to any criticism you have to offer. We can all learn from each other.

Today I will just post some snippets from around my craft area so you can see why the name "The Raspberry Room" I love my little craft cave! Thanks to the hubster for being such an integral part of creating it.
Until Next Time . . . .
